I recently asked the students in one of my biology classes to create illustrations showing the basics of how the immune system works. I particularly like this cartoon:
It’s both visually sophisticated and uncluttered. The student created it at the beginning of our study of the immune system; although it doesn’t go into tremendous detail, the information in it will provide a basic framework that will make it much easier for the student to understand and remember the more intricate details that will come up in future lessons.
Oh, and yes, I got the student’s permission before posting her work publicly. She was quite pleased to be asked.
Thumbs up from me! (retired immunologist)

Cool, I’ll tell the student a retired immunologist likes her cartoon. I’m sure she’ll be tickled pink.
